They manufacture, develop, and designs lifestyle pieces and sports performance equipment such as watches, sunglasses, and much more. Currently, the company holds more than 600 patents for performance gear, materials, and eyewear.

This product features a plastic frame constructed with O-MATTER frame material that is resistant to stress. It also has plutonite plastic lenses that are held in precise optical alignment. I love the glass because it offers harmful blue light, 100 percent UVA, UVB and UVC protection. The glass has polarized coatings that provide impact resistance and optical clarity.

I have reviewed this product in one of the previous posts. But I will discuss again because it has features that make it one of the best sunglasses from Costa Del Mar on the market.  Just like every other Costa sunglasses, this product is handmade. It features lenses that are available in two different choices, 580 glass, and 580 polycarbonates. They are lightweight, resistance to impact and scratch, and gives high clarity.

 

The lenses are polarized ensuring a comfortable use under bright, full-sun situation. It reduces eye strain and kills reflected glare. The frame of the product is made of Costa's co-injected bio-based nylon material, that is durable, tough, and offers a comfortable fit.


PROS:

  • Offers 100 percent polarization and high clarity 580 lenses 
  • Block 100 percent UV rays
  • Great glasses at a great price
  • Durable and long-lasting 
  • Available in different frame choices and lens colors

CONS:

  • Basically, it is medium fit

The product features a frame constructed with a TR-90 nylon material that ensures durability and toughness while providing comfort at the same time.  The material the frame is made of makes it flexible and resistant to cold and heat. Added are a co-molding and co-injected technology, non-slip hydrolite temples and integral hinges that ensure high performance and delivers fit and comfort.

 

This sunglass has two lens options, a high tech lens with lightwave glass (580G) and a durable and lightest lens material option made of polycarbonate (580P). The lenses are polarized to reduce strain, headache and block reflective glasses.

Maui Jim is a brand of sunglasses founded in 1980 in Hawaii. The brand is an American-based company based in Peoria, Illinois. Originally, Maui Jim was launched by Jim Richards, and its main distribution center was located in Lahaina, Hawaii. In 1996 it was later moved to Peoria after RLI vision was purchased. The brand produces both prescription and non-prescription lenses.

I love this feature because it provides the product with flexibility, super-lightweight, and resistance to UV and heat. Added to its features is the lenses constructed with glass material that is thin and gives crisp optics.

 

The lenses are resistant to solvent and scratch. Additionally, the product feature PolarizedPlus2 lens technology that would shield your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays and glares by enhancing colors.

Ray-Ban is a brand of eyeglasses and sunglasses established by the American company known as Bausch & Lomb in 1937. The lines of sunglasses the brand is popularly known for are Aviator and Wayfarer. Presently, an Italian eyewear conglomerate, Luxottica Group owns the brand. They bought it from Bausch & Lomb in 1999.

What would the best outdoor sunglasses list be if I don’t mention Classic Clubmaster Sunglasses by Ray-Ban? The product features a rectangular frame that is constructed with metal and rimmed with plastic at the outer frame. It has plastic temples and nose pads that are adjustable to ensure great comfort.

 

Added to its features is the crystal lens that has 100 percent ultraviolet rays protection coating. The lenses are resistant to impact and scratch. It also has a protective case that keeps it safe anytime you are not wearing the shade.     

PROS:

  • Excellent quality and classic cool style
  • The frame is Sturdy, authentic, and not too heavy
  • Fit perfectly no matter face shape
  • Comfortable with great optical quality 

CONS:

  • It is not polarized

This product features a cellulose acetate frame which makes it strong and lightweight. The highest quality plastic material for eyewear is cellulose acetate. Imagine the quality this sunglass has to offer regarding frame. Just as with most eyeglasses from Ray-Ban, crystal lenses are included in the Predator 2. The backside of the lenses is tinted allowing it to achieve vivid colors, sharp contrasts, and smooth color transitions. The construction of the lens makes it scratch resistant and extremely durable.

Final Thought

Oakley, Costa Del Mar, Maui Jim, and Ray-Ban belong to the top brands of sunglasses available in the market. Comparatively, their price differs and might be more expensive than other brands. The technology the brands uses in manufacturing the glasses and the better features they have makes them stand out.
